Art Deco 1950s Cocktail Cabinet in Walnut
This is an Art Deco drinks cabinet, very well made in the 1950s. It has a couple of surprises - when you open the front, the top opens on a cantilevered hinge, and the internal light comes on all at the same time.
It is constructed using matching walnut veneers and maple on the inside.
It is very typical of the post war period of furniture, very stylised with star decoration to reflect the sputnik era.
The two vents on the sides emit light when it's dark but could be used to house a pair of iPod speakers as well.
The cabinet has a maker's label - Validity Furniture of London.
It is in exceptionally good condition. It has been repolished, rewired and pat tested and is ready to go into a home to be used.
The measurements are 99 cm wide, 39 cm deep and 103 cm high.
