Reclining Leather Armchair by de Sede of Switzerland
A very stylish leather armchair and stool by the Swiss furniture maker, de Sede. Designed and made in the 1970s, using thick and supple, aniline dyed buffalo hide.
Aniline leather does stain and mark but over the years has developed character and patination, more so than a sealed leather.
De Sede is thought by many to be the best quality leather furniture maker in the world.
The chair back reclines to any angle you would want. The curving shape of the back means the lumber is supported.
Such a beautiful design - very minimal, sculpture you can sit on and be very comfortable.
The armchair is narrow, there's no bulk to the arms or back, but the seats are generous.
Delivery can be arranged to any part of the country. As a guide, delivery to London and most parts of the south of England would be £85. Collection is, of course, welcome.
The measurements of the chair are 85 cm wide, 84 cm deep and 94 cm high, and the seat is 39 cm high.
