Stylish Danish Black Leather Armchair by Rud Thygesen
This classic armchair was designed and made in Denmark in the 1960s. It is typical of the Scandinavian designs that are so popular at the moment, but this piece of furniture has some refinements that others don’t have. The cushions are partly filled with feathers, the back gently curves, the legs are rosewood and taper and have the detail of the leather slightly protruding.
The chair has great style: elegant, modern and comfortable, the type you can slump down into. It also looks good from the back.
Although the design is modernist, the lines are classic and the colour is natural, therefore it would fit well in a contemporary or a traditional setting.
The condition is very good, the leather has had a good clean and wax, and has developed a wonderful character through years of use.
The last photo shows a sofa that is for sale on a separate page.
